Maine Hunting Shoe

This bad boy was introduced by L.L. Bean in 1912,
and was Leon Leonwood Bean's first product.

These come in a number of leather colors and liners.   You can get them low-mid-or high.  I personally own the ones with the light brown top.
Now, I am no hunter, so I don't care that the moccasin like sole allows me to feel the forest floor.  Or that the steel shank in the arch allows for extra lateral support through rough forest terrain.  I live in Brooklyn, the only "rough terrain" around my neighborhood is all the concrete in Bushwick.

But what I do know, is that these are the only rain boots you will ever catch me in.
They are so Kentucky.  And Kentucky is Bad-ass.
