Friday Fix: Polyphonic Spree: Light & Day

I am sure you guys all remember this song from Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, but well before that movie made its debut, I was jamming out to the cult classics of this band for a hot minute.
A beautiful accident at Bonnaroo in 2002 (? don't quote me on that year) I stumbled across the church robe wearing mob and was immediately intrigued and hooked. I befriended the trumpeter and theremin player shortly after at another gig and we were fast friends, watching Akira, listening to records, and wishing Texas and Kentucky weren't so far away. Well, long past are the days of Bardstown Road rooftops and dance parties with The Rapture in my living room, and the Polyphonic Spree has a whole new crew and I kinda haven't really heard any of their newer stuff.
I'm excited the sun is out, and summer is fast on the heels of Spring. I feel like I have been in such a rut this week, trying to get my life back to normal after an insane lack of sleep opening the new store. Finally feel like I am back on track. Thanks for bearing with the lack of posts. Things will be better now. I promise.
