High Roller.

This hairstyle gained popularity with Marie Antoinette in the 1700's and spread to London and then to Philadelphia where it literally came to a head because this hairstyle represented an old country that we were trying to separate ourselves from during the American Revolution.
These images found on one of my favorite archival sites, Bibliodyssey, are only 2 of several incredible illustrations demonstrating the satire of the times.
