Intern for Old Hollywood!

School credit available, flexible hours, great staff. Learn about jewelry design, styling for photo shoots, vintage design, running a small business, and carpentry. Great for anyone trying to connect to Brooklyn's community of designers or aspiring to own their own boutique. There will even be opportunity to write for the blog. Check our Craigslist ad, written by yours truly. It's a little more business like than we actually are, but hey, what can I say, I'm the kids of two lawyers. Casual has never been my style.

Part-time intern needed for jewelry designer, stylist and owner of the vintage inspired jewelry boutique, Old Hollywood. Perfect for anyone interested in jewelry design, visual merchandising, the operation of a small business, styling and vintage.

The intern will work in the two stores, helping with various store-related tasks, from working with designers and selecting new products to marketing. Intern will also help merchandise the elaborate windows/cases and work outside the store, assisting in creation of the owner's jewelry line and helping prep for photo shoots.

The intern will be directly involved in opening the new Old Hollywood store, with opportunity to learn carpentry and design in a hands-on environment. The intern will accompany the owner to trade shows and will have the chance to meet a large community of designers. Perfect for anyone trying to launch their own jewelry or fashion line, or with aspirations to open their own store!

There will also be an exciting opportunity to work with the owner as she launches a new company that will be a one-stop-shop for photo and video shoots, providing carpentry, prop and fashion styling.

It's an unpaid position, but can be used for school credit. The position will be based at the store's Greenpoint location, but will include travel to the jewelry district, the other store location in Chelsea, and other parts of the city as needed. Hours are flexible.
