My 28th Birthday

I think this is the first year where I am actually feeling my age.
I think I hit the mark where you start not only noticing things that make you realize you have physically been living in this hard ass world for 28 years, but mentally I am the most centered and grounded with myself now more than ever.

Helping me maintain the balance is a wonderful bounty of great people who are doing wonderful things in this city. Although we may not see each other as often as we'd like a birthday dinner is a nice excuse to get everyone together.

This year I decided upon a 50's themed dinner party around my favorite dress (which you will be seeing another appearance from this weekend at the wedding). We had Honey Baked Ham, Cajun Turkey, Celery Root Mashed Potatoes, sweet potato mash, collard greens, black eyed peas, cheesecake and a whole lot more.
A southern smorgasbord.

I also set up 2 bars. A martini bar in the parlor and a full bar in the back. My friend Jay was perfect in his outfit making sidecars for everyone.

Thanks to everyone for making me feel super special on my born day!
