Breakfast of Champions

Waking up early has its benefits. You can drink a coffee before work, see your roommate in his onesie, and sometimes you remember to water the herbs you put in your windowsill to make your home look "rustic." But the #1 reason most humans wake up before the acceptable time of 2 p.m. is still the same: delicious breakfast foods. My personal favorite is still the ugliest named one: "toads in a hole." 
It's an egg, fried in the center of toast, nestled in a little hole you cut out.

And it tastes like the most delicious buttery toasty eggy goodness.

Seriously so easy. Just melt some butter in a pan, cut a hole in toast (CUT A HEART HOW CUTE IS THAT) and throw your egg in. Cook it on medium heat for 5-7 minutes, flip, let that yolk run. Boom. I think I've made it every day for the past week? It is still a crowd pleaser (this means I'm still eating it.) Sometimes if I'm feeling extra sassy I throw some granola in soy milk and nom on that on the side. 
 Soon I'll be making waffles inside crepes inside french toast pudding.
Whatever, no big deal.
Mornings are looking up.
