As much as I wish I could pretend that winter has happened and is happily on its way out the door, I just cannot deny the fact that we haven't had a winter yet. As I began unpacking sundresses and floral maxi skirts at the beginning of the month, I couldn't help ask myself a tired question: Why? Why must you taunt me with your ridiculously early delivery dates and resort wear? Why? Why am I not going on a cruise, but I feel like (judging by shop windows) everyone else is? The answer is clear. The industry is mad. Stark raving lunatics. If you are looking for something new to wear right now (what? You don't romp around in a ROMPER in January? ) Well neither do we. So this week we are dedicating some time to the transitional arrivals that you can wear in these chilly days. And believe you me, there will be CHILL.
We have some lovely pieces in from Canadian brand Betina Lou. Each of their pieces are constructed beautifully with close attention to detail. They are classic, beautiful, and feminine, without pushing it to girly. We love this new line. A-Line Hounds tooth Skirt ($128) and Patsy Dresses in both Navy/Red and Black ($198). I love pairing the skirt with Ark n Co's riding jacket and vintage inspired beaded peter pan collar blouse.
Also from Betina Lou is this gorgeous high waisted corduroy skirt in a blushing color. This piece can easily be worn all Fall/Winter/Spring. Paired with Ark n Co Navy Dot Blouse ($44). Great boots in stock from DV. $108-$128 . Great with cropped skinny jeans, long skirts , or dresses. Early bird will get the one up on these guys as well mark them off 30% this week.
In love with this color blocked tuxedo inspired dress from Ark n Co. Super soft and flowy, this dress is sophisticated and yet surprisingly sexy. Great for work, or dressing up a little without over doing the job. ($90)
